Seed and sweet corn harvesters are designed to take the ears off the cornstalks, leaving them in the husks. As the stalks go through the harvester’s header, the ears are removed from the stalks, put through two cleaners and then deposited into a hopper. The ears are then processed to be sold as cob corn, sweet kernel corn, or seed corn.
